Ops & Missions
Veterans are the mission, and Veterans need a mission.
Convergence gives veterans a renewed sense of purpose as they join a team and serve others through humanitarian aid, medical clinics, and environmental missions.
Operation Caribbean Reach 2026 Mission Overview
Convergence is a faith-based veteran support organization that believes service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off.
OPERATION CARIBBEAN REACH is our Veteran-led maritime mission using Ceaseless Explorer, a 56-foot Expedition Trawler, as a floating lifeline for U.S. Veterans and vulnerable coastal communities in the Caribbean and Central America.
Ceaseless Explorer is being pressed into service as a Multi-Role Service Support Vessel. It will be used as a mobile clinic, humanitarian aid-delivery vessel, disaster-response platform, and a place of purpose and healing for veterans navigating PTSD and the transition back to civilian life.
On 6 February, 2026, we and our buddy boat, S/V Libre, loaded donated humanitarian aid supplies from Hope Fleet. On our way to Panama, we will deliver them to Casa Guatemala, a 300-child orphanage in Río Dulce, Guatemala which is only accessible by boat.
Along the way, our Veteran crew members will also deploy five NOAA SeaDrifter buoys to collect and transmit telemetry on ocean currents.
Once in Panama, Ceaseless Explorer connects directly with our planned onshore Wellness Center and our recently acquired waterfront property, which will serve as our long-term base of operations for our Veteran-led programs.
On that property, we are developing over-the-water short-term rental units; this for‑profit hospitality venture is designed to sustainably feed our nonprofit Veteran programs so that ongoing PTSD therapy, mission deployments, and local outreach medical clinics are not dependent on donations alone.
There, Veterans participate in PTSD dive therapy, coral reef restoration, and hands-on humanitarian work alongside partners like YWAM Ships Panama and SAR Panama, turning wounded warriors into healers for both oceans and communities.
We’ve secured Ceaseless Explorer and a permanent base; now we’re inviting partners and other Veterans to help make the vessel and the wellness campus fully mission-ready with fuel, gear, medical cargo, and program support so we can keep delivering hope, care, and purpose—at sea and on shore—where it’s needed most.
